Herno & Nina || Wedding Magic at Emily Moon River Lodge, Plettenberg Bay
Herno & Nina tied the knot at one of my favorite places in South Africa – Emily Moon River Lodge – what a place?! The venue overlooks the Bitou River with the most breathtaking views of the mountains and wetlands.
It was an intimate small wedding with only their closest family and friends attending the beautiful celebration. I love capturing intimate affairs like this one – it’s always so wonderful to see the couple being able to connect with each one of their guests.
This day inspired me by seeing how closely knit everyone in their circles is and that there has been so a lot of investment in all of their relationships. Everyone at this wedding had a magnificent radiance about them and made me think about the following quote:
“I am going to notice the lights of the earth, the sun, and the moon and the stars, the lights of our candles as we march, the lights with which spring teases us, the light that is already present.” – Anne Lamott.
It is an absolute privilege to see how people bring their own light into photographs. Every single person is unique with a unique kind of light to share with the world. One of the most rewarding things we can do is to figure out how to let our light shine brightest so that those around us can experience the best version of ourselves.
Nina wore a gorgeous gown from the talented designers at White Lilly Bridal – you did a great job making Nina look exquisite! The florals & decor were all set up by the wonderful A seed to sow – everything looked sensational and out of this world!
