George & Alexa || Greek Magic Meets Cape Town Elegance

George & Alexa’s day was magic from start to finish.

Set against the lush gardens and timeless charm of The Forum at Embassy Hill, their wedding felt like walking into a quiet poem. Every detail—curated with love and intention—spoke to their story: elegant, meaningful, and deeply joyful.

From the moment Alexa slipped into her sleek, modern gown by Veil Bridal Couture, there was a calmness in the air. She wasn’t just getting ready—she was becoming. The morning was full of laughter, champagne, and soft music echoing through the heritage walls of Embassy Hill. Her bridesmaids couldn’t stop admiring her. Neither could we.

Her look was brought to life by the incredibly talented Mary Gouveia, whose soft, natural styling made Alexa glow with timeless beauty.

George, waiting under the giant oaks, was the picture of composure. But the moment he saw Alexa walking toward him during their first look, every bit of that composure melted into awe. It was just them, holding space in the rush of the day.

The ceremony was held in the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of St George - this church and it’s beauty blew me away - what a place!

Heike from Fleur le Cordeur created floral artistry and styling that felt like it grew right from the soul of the venue—textured, organic, and beautifully wild.

Vows were whispered. Hands trembled. Eyes glistened. And just like that—they were married.

As the sun dipped behind the mountain, we snuck away with the two of them for golden hour portraits. These were the moments where time stretched. No crowd. No rush. Just George and Alexa, wrapped in quiet joy, letting the magnitude of the day settle in.

Behind the scenes, everything flowed seamlessly, thanks to the wonderful Anna Marcelle, who planned the entire day with grace and intention. Every element, every moment, felt effortless and personal.

The reception that followed was pure celebration. Tables draped in soft whites and candlelight. Toasts that made us laugh, then cry. A first dance of beautiful elegance. And later, the kind of dancing that makes your cheeks hurt from smiling.

The entire day was captured not only through my lens at Kikitography, but also with emotion and movement by The Wedding Crashers, whose videography brought the magic of the day to life all over again.

George & Alexa, thank you for inviting us into such an intimate, sacred chapter of your lives. Your love is the kind that lingers.

Here’s to a lifetime of holding hands just like you did that day.
